This privacy policy (“Policy”) applies to the collection, storage, use and disclosure of personal information by or on behalf of Albion Braidwood Pty Ltd ABN 57 672 133 167 (“The Albion”, “we”, “us” or “our”), our related entities, subsidiaries, employees, and other representatives.
We are committed to protecting your personal information and ensuring its privacy, accuracy, and security. We handle all personal information in a responsible manner in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (“the Act”) and the Australian Privacy Principles (“APPs”) that regulate the handling of personal information.

When we refer to “personal information”, we mean information that identifies you, or from which your identity can reasonably be ascertained. This information may include information or an opinion about you, whether truthful or otherwise.
What is sensitive information?
Sensitive information (a type of personal information) has the same meaning as in the Act. In summary, it means information or an opinion about an individual’s race or ethnic origins, political opinions and associations, religious beliefs or affiliations, philosophical beliefs, sexual preferences or practices, trade or professional associations and memberships, union membership, criminal record, health or genetic information, or biometric information.
Collection of personal information
The Albion will, from time to time, receive and store personal information entered onto our website, provided to us directly, or given to us in other forms.
The information we may collect includes:
(a) general personal information such as your name, phone number, address, email address, birthday and other personal information supplied by or on your behalf to enable us to send information, provide updates and process requests or assist with enquiries;
(b) additional information, including but not limited to, when you provide feedback, when you provide information about your personal or business affairs, change your content or email preference, respond to surveys and/or promotions, enter competitions, or communicate with us;
(c) copies of correspondence (such as emails and file notes of discussions) between you and us; and
(d) financial or credit card information and/or payment details.
We will only collect your sensitive information:
(a) if you have consented to us doing so; and
(b) where required or permitted by law.
If you provide personal information about someone other than yourself, you agree that you have that person’s consent to provide the information for the purposes for which you provide it to us. You also acknowledge and agree that you have told such person about this Policy and where to find it.
How we collect your personal information
The Albion collects personal information by fair and lawful means. We may collect your personal information from a range of sources, including:
(a) directly from you, such as when you interact with us electronically, or in person, when you email us, write to us, provide your business card, meet with us or access our website;
(b) when we provide our services to you or when you access our premises and our off-site accommodation, all of which are available on our website (together, “Properties") as part of the provision of such services;
(c) if you apply for employment with us, including directly or via a recruitment agency; and
(d) through third parties, including third-party websites.
To protect us from damage, theft, or loss, and for our customers’ and staff’s protection, we have put in place surveillance cameras in our Properties. The images recorded by the cameras may include identifiable images of guests visiting the Properties, and form part of personal information under the Act.
These images are stored in a secure environment for a period of 60 days, after which they are deleted. Access to these recordings limited to authorised staff only. Where an incident has occurred warranting further investigation, we may allow the images and/or recordings to be viewed by people responsible for investigating the incident, both within The Albion and/or external investigative bodies or law enforcement agencies (such as the police). Signs have been placed at access points to the Properties advising that the cameras are in operation.
There may also be occasions when we collect personal information (to the extent it is available) from publicly available sources, including social media platforms such as Facebook or Twitter. Sometimes, we may provide content and services on a range of platforms (including social media networks) with interactive features to which you may contribute. If you post your personal information in publicly accessible places or social media platforms, your personal information will become publicly available (subject to, where applicable, any privacy settings you have in place in social media platforms). We will not be responsible for the protection of personal information you choose to publish this way.
Use of your personal information
The Albion may use personal information collected from you to provide you with information, updates, and our services. We may also make you aware of new and additional products, services, and opportunities available to you. We may use your personal information to improve our products and services and better understand customers’ needs, including yours.
We may contact you using a range of media platforms including, but not limited to telephone, email, SMS or mail.
Our uses of personal information include, but are not limited to:
(a) establishing your identity;
(b) managing our relationship with you;
(c) creating and responding to accommodation or event booking requests;
(d) creating personal customer profiles;
(e) sending newsletters, publications and other promotional information to you;
(f) providing you with updates in relation to promotions, special events and other activities;

(h) conducting and improving our business and services;
(i) collecting and making payments;
(j) investigating any incidents occurred on our Properties, internally and/or by assisting investigative bodies or law enforcement agencies, including in connection with any damage to, theft, or loss of our property, and any injuries to customers or staff;
(k) complying with our legal obligations, and assisting government and law enforcement agencies and/or regulators.
Direct Marketing
We may use or disclose your personal information (other than sensitive information) to engage in direct marketing activities.
Direct marketing activities undertaken by The Albion may include distribution of newsletters, promotional information and correspondence advising you about special events or accommodation rates. If you do not want to receive emails and/or other communications from us, you can tell us by contacting us as detailed in this Policy or as detailed in any direct marketing communication that you receive from us.
Disclosure of your personal information
We may disclose, and you consent to us disclosing, your personal information to any of our employees, officers, insurers, professional advisers, agents, suppliers or subcontractors insofar as reasonably necessary for the purposes set out in this Policy. Personal information is only supplied to a third party when it is required for the delivery of our services.
We may disclose, and you consent to us disclosing, your personal information to any of our related bodies corporate whether located in Australia or overseas. If we disclose your personal information to a related body corporate, your information will be collected, stored, used, and disclosed in accordance with this Policy, the APPs and the Act.
We may from time to time need to disclose personal information to comply with a legal requirement, such as law, regulation, court order, subpoena, warrant, in the course of a legal proceeding or in response to a law enforcement agency request.
We may also use personal information to protect the copyright, trademarks, legal rights, property, or safety of The Albion its customers or third parties.
If there is a change of control in our business or a sale or transfer of business assets, we reserve the right to transfer to the extent permissible at law; our databases, together with any information and non-personal information contained in those databases. This information may be disclosed to a potential purchaser under an agreement to maintain confidentiality. We would seek to only disclose information in good faith and where required by any of the above circumstances.
By providing us with your personal information, you consent to the terms of this Policy and the types of disclosure covered by this Policy. Where we disclose your personal information to third parties, we will request that the third party follow this Policy regarding handling your personal information.

The Albion will only use or disclose sensitive information for the purpose for which it was initially collected or for a directly related purpose, as required, or permitted by law, or where you have consented to the use or disclosure of sensitive information.

The Albion is committed to ensuring that the information you provide to us is secure. To prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure information and protect it from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification and disclosure.

We may disclose your personal information to overseas recipients, for example, where information is stored in a cloud server, or where you access our services through a third-party site. We will not send your personal information overseas without obtaining your consent (this may be implied) or otherwise in compliance with the APPs and the Act.
Government identifiers
The Albion does not adopt, use or disclose government related identifiers except as required of permitted by law.
Access to your personal information
You may request details of personal information that we hold about you in accordance with the provisions of the Act. If you would like a copy of the information which we hold about you or believe that any information we hold on you is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant, or misleading, please email us at albion@monafarm.com.au.
We will respond to your request within a reasonable amount of time and will provide you with the personal information that we hold about you unless otherwise permitted or required by law. If we deny you access to the personal information, we will notify you of the basis for the denial unless an exception applies. Where reasonable and practicable, we will provide access to the personal information we hold about you in the manner you request. There are no fees that apply for requesting access to information we hold about you.
Complaints
Individuals are able to contact The Albion and request further information about this Policy, request access to their personal information or make a request that personal information be corrected and/or updated. Individuals are also able to make a complaint about any aspect of this Policy, and/or any aspect regarding the collection or use of information by the Albion, including the following:
(a) the kind of information collected by The Albion;
